Joe Ross, trader, author, and educator has been trading and investing since for over five decades, and is still active as a trader.

Joe graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He did his Masters work in Computer Sciences at the George Washington University extension in Newport News, Virginia. He is listed in "Who's Who in America." After 5 decades of trading and investing, Joe continues to trade, write, and each regularly. Joe is an active and integral part of Trading Educators. He is the primary author and Editor-in-Chief of the company's newsletters: Chart Scan™, Spread Scan™, and Traders Notebook™. Joe was a private trader and investor for many years, but a serious health situation in 1987 caused him to begin writing about his trading experiences. JIM AUGUSTINE

Jim Augustine is a professional and successful stock option trader and our educator and mentor for option traders.

Jim’s first entry into the markets was in December 1987 using the dollar cost averaging method with mutual funds. He has advanced his trading skills and style ever since then and has been active in the markets except for two periods of combat duty. He has seen bull and bear markets and believes that nobody has a greater interest in your money than you.

After Joe Ross met Jim Augustine, very quickly Joe asked Jim to become a part of Trading Educators.

Jim Augustine has studied numerous trading systems for stocks, options, and futures. He says the method taught by Trading Educators is far and above a “system”; it is a new language that all traders must be conversant in.  He has been a trading coach and a corporate trainer. Jim teaches the stock and stock option seminar, incentive stock option seminar and private coaching for Trading Educators. He is the editor of Option Scan - the free weekly option newsletter.

He has retired twice, first as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve and second, from Ryder Integrated Logistics. He is a licensed U.S. Customs Broker, a former Auditor for the California Council on Quality. He holds an undergraduate degree in chemistry from Miami University, Oxford OH and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He has formed and has ownership interests in several companies.
